I’ve glued on the nut and the bridge. To line up the bridge I tape thread through the nut and the bridge until the thread is aligned correctly.
A sanding tip: between sanding the neck take a moist cloth to the wood and wait an hour before sanding again. This brings the grain up so you can sand it very smooth.
